Project Start
The Seminole Road Reconstruction project between Henry Street and Park Street will start on Monday, May 10th. The EB lanes will be closed and traffic will be detoured via NB Henry Street to EB Norton Street to SB Seaway Drive. The WB lanes will have one lane of traffic maintained at all times allowing access to all businesses and residences within the project limits. The first phase will last approximately 8-10 weeks.
Phase II will close the WB lanes with access maintained for EB traffic.
The project consists of HMA roadway reconstruction, storm sewer, sanitary sewer repairs, water main replacement, traffic loop detectors, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks, ADA sidewalk ramps, decorative lighting and landscaping.
The roadway is expected to open to traffic in late August with lighting work to finish up by the end of September.
