Week 14 Update

Work completed the Week of August 9:

The traffic control plan was modified on Saturday to now allow EB traffic to pass through the work zone.  WB traffic is now being detoured around the work zone via Norton Avenue and Henry Street.  Due to heavy rainfall at the end of last week, the paving contractor was on site Monday morning to complete the asphalt paving of the commercial driveways on the south side of the roadway.

The prime contractor began pavement and curb removals on the north side of the roadway early in the week and began utility work thereafter.  Utility work includes all remaining storm sewer work and replacement of the sanitary sewer laterals to each individual property.

Work upcoming the Week of August 16:

The Contractor will continue with remaining storm sewer and sanitary sewer lateral work early in the week with expected completion by the end of the day Tuesday.  The remaining part of the week will be spent building the roadway base starting at Henry Street and working easterly towards Park Street in preparation for concrete curb and gutter.

The project is on schedule with the anticipated open to traffic date in mid-September.
